Enrollment Information

New Student Enrollment

New student enrollment is for students who are new to BISD and were not enrolled in a BISD school on the last day of the prior school year.

If you are enrolling a Pre-K student, scroll down for Pre-K enrollment information (you must qualify for Pre-K). 

If you are enrolling a Kindergarten student, scroll down for Kindergarten enrollment information.  

If you are enrolling in grades 1-12, scroll down to "New Student Online Enrollment," then follow steps 1-3. 

Student Transfers

Live outside of the BISD attendance zone? BISD is accepting student transfer requests (in-district and out-of-district) for a select number of seats for the upcoming school year. Students who meet specific criteria for academic performance, attendance, and behavior standards may be eligible. Transfers are limited by the capacity available.* Visit STUDENT TRANSFERS to learn more and apply. 

*BISD operates within the guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency, where funding for enrolled students residing outside of the district follows the student. In addition to the requirements above, transfer students must adhere to University Interscholastic League (UIL) eligibility requirements.
